In the beginning...
In 2004 Staci Jordan and Tressie Hawkins were feeling a longing for more Christian fellowship among the women of their church. The church had daytime activities for women, but other women who worked during the day were feeling disconnected. They wanted there to be a spiritual focus on the fellowship and not just have a social club.
The first meeting had 4 women meeting in Staci's house. The women met casually to enjoy time with each other and to pray for one-another. One of the women was lamenting about being unable to make the yearly district retreat and asked if their women's group could put something together locally for ladies.
That winter, in February 2005, Staci hosted a two-day retreat at her house with Friday night being a time of pampering each other with makeovers, manicures, pedicures, food, and a devotional. Saturday morning brought more time of fellowship and a time where ladies from the local church shared from God's word. There were about 30 women who made it out for the first retreat (between the two days).
NobleWomen Grows
As 2006 came near it became obvious that Staci's home would not be big enough for the next retreat and so it was held at Belton Assembly of God church. Through the years the retreat grew bigger with women attending from more than 25 churches of various denominations and traditions. One year there were over 200 women in attendance.
NobleWomen continued to have regularly monthly meetings, usually at Belton Assembly of God. In late 2009 the leaders of NobleWomen started to feel that God was wanting them to prepare to establish similar ministries in other communities.
In May of 2010 Staci and her husband, Troy, were called to minister at Blue Ridge Assembly of God in Kansas City, Missouri, where Troy became the music pastor. In 2011 a second NobleWomen chapter was established at Blue Ridge, helping re-establish women's ministries there under the name "Pursued".
In 2012 NobleWomen will be poised to reach out beyond local communities and start providing ministry resources for women throughout America and then to the rest of the world.
